About the ECSA-HC Events
The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) is a regional intergovernmental organization fostering cooperation on health across member states.
Each year, ECSA-HC hosts three flagship events that bring together ministers, policymakers, academics, and development partners to assess progress, share innovations, and shape the region's health agenda.
🧩 Best Practices Forum (BPF)
A platform where countries showcase tested innovations that have improved health outcomes. Abstracts, panel discussions, and best practice presentations are central.
🧑⚕️ Directors' Joint Consultative Committee (DJCC)
A technical and strategic meeting of senior health officials from ministries and agencies across ECSA countries.
🏛️ Health Ministers Conference (HMC)
The highest policy-level forum, where resolutions are made and regional health policy directions are defined by ministers of health.
